The Challenge of Low Profitability
Despite a series of accolades and being in business for close to a decade, Avneesh had the foresight to recognize some significant shortcomings within the operations of ThinkTech. As a primary setback Avneesh talks about the lingering profit margins of ThinkTech over years of operation,“Operating costs were going pretty high, and despite serving loads of customers our profitability was low. It was painful to see the profit figures after all the hard work that was going into business”
.The lack of a viable profit generation channel within the business was focal to the diminishing profits despite a well-established team working full-time. When assessed, other layered issues came up as the result of a decelerating profit. Investments in better tools, initiatives for the team, and the company at large - were all aspects being undermined due to low profitability.
In addition to lingering profit margins, Avneesh also saw the need for a tighter-knit team that followed a natural course of the same work culture.
“Although the organization was growing, and the team was expanding in multiple countries, we were facing issues in setting up a solid cohesive team that carries the same values and same culture built into it.”, he emphasized. ThinkTech’s own spawn of ideas was failing to deliver on this aspect as a number of strategies and ideas couldn’t be executed as they were visualized.
